Costuming
Been kinda busy...
Submitted by BradleyRobertson on Mon, 05/07/2007 - 10:28am.Wow I realized today that it had been almost a month since my last entry. I got so caught up in my costuming that I forgot to update this site. My Rebel Fleet Trooper costume is done and the pictures are below. Next task is to re-do my Jedi Costume. And I will eventually put a costuming section up on this site.

It's almost Friday
Submitted by BradleyRobertson on Thu, 04/12/2007 - 4:13pm.Well last week I was able to get more stuff done than I had planned, but I didn't necessarily work on what I said I was. I was able to make it to Tandy Leather. I picked up what I needed to make I my belt, and aside from sealing it I was able to finish it that night. Additionally, by the weekend I was able to finish my work on the Hasbro blaster.
I didn't get to any website updates that day, but I have since updated the calendar on the StarWarsKC.com site. At this point, I think the next website update I will be making will be add my resume to this site. I am not necessarily looking for a new job, but if one was offered to me for what I am making now I probably wouldn't turn it down either.
I will post some pictures of my Rebel Fleet Trooper progress later...
I took today off...
Submitted by BradleyRobertson on Thu, 04/05/2007 - 11:08am.I have wanted to take a day off for a least a month now, but there didn't seem to be a good day to do it. Today I have an eye doctor's appointment mid-day so I figured I might as well take the entire day off. I will say there is a problem with just taking one day off. I feel like I have a weeks worth of stuff that I want to get done today. Since I know I won't get all of it done, it is hard for me to get motivated to do anything. However, I have made a short list of things I want to get done today that are achievable.
After my appointment I plan on going to Tandy Leather . I need to pick up some supplies to make a belt for the Rebel Fleet Trooper that I mentioned previously. I finished the shirt last weekend as planned, and I was able to start making the necessary modifications to the Hasbro blaster. Now all I need to do is paint it. I probably will be waiting until the weekend to work on both of those.
Once I get back from Tandy Leather I plan on making some more updates to the StarWarsKC.com site. I need to add a bunch of calendar events that are coming up in the next 6-8 weeks. and if I have time I will be adding some new pages for each of the groups that I am trying to represent. If I have time after that I am going to make some updates to this site as well.
It's been a busy (but fun) week
Submitted by BradleyRobertson on Fri, 03/30/2007 - 3:43pm.On Monday I started out the week by going down to the Plaza to particpate in an event with our local Star Wars club, The Heart of the Alliance FanForce. We were celebrating the R2-D2 Mailboxes that have been showing up across the country in preparation for the USPS to release a new Star Wars Stamp. I showed up in costume and Tess Koppelman from Fox 4 news was there, and we ended up on the local news for several days afterwards.
I spent most of that evening afterwards updating one of my other sites, http://www.StarWarsKC.com to add the video from that event. A few days later, another fan group the 70th Explorers part of the Fighting 501st was on a Channel 9 newscast and I added that to the site as well.
As a previous post stated, I did a few updates to this site last night. I thought it wouldn't take me more than an hour or so. Well 5 hours later I finally finished. I was redoing some of the links on the music page and none of my updates were taking. Without getting into specifics, there are two files for every streaming song I have on my site. And like an idiot I kept uploading the one I wasn't updating. I spent a frustrating several hours just trying to figure out what was causing the problem.
